Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 · in force since 26 July 2026
How this website handles cookies and browser storage.
This site uses no cookies. There is no profiling, no visitor analytics, no social buttons and no content loaded from other websites. That is why you see no consent banner: there is nothing to agree to.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in a visitor’s browser, to recognise them on later visits or to gather information about their behaviour. Some are needed for a site to work, others measure visits, others serve advertising.
2. Cookies used by this site
None. The site consists of static pages and sets no cookies of any kind, neither its own nor third-party ones.
3. The only item stored in your browser
The site uses temporary browser storage (sessionStorage), which is different from cookies: it is never sent to the server and is cleared automatically when you close the tab.
| Name | Content | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
dc-map-anim | The single value “1” | Remembering that the map animation has already played, so it is not repeated on every page | Until you close the browser tab |
This item contains no personal data, cannot identify or track visitors, and is not shared with anyone.
4. Design choices that avoid tracking
The absence of cookies is deliberate: the site was built so that no data needs to be sent to external services.
- Typefaces are hosted on our own server and are not requested from Google Fonts or similar providers, which would otherwise receive visitors’ IP addresses.
- The area map is a drawing we made ourselves, not a map embedded from an external service.
- No analytics: Google Analytics and similar tools are not installed.
- No embedded content: there are no videos, social feeds or third-party widgets.
5. Links to other websites
Some links lead to external sites (for example Airbnb, WhatsApp or Google Maps for directions). These are plain links: until you click them, no data is sent to those services. Once opened, their own privacy notices apply, over which the controller has no control.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Even though there are none here, every browser lets you review and delete cookies saved by the sites you visit, usually under “Settings → Privacy and security”.
7. Updates
Should tools requiring cookies be introduced in future, this page will be updated and, where necessary, consent will be requested before they are activated.
